 HEPSCO
was formed to provide a reliable source of supply for fuels, lubricants,
tires, and batteries, and eliminate daily price negotiation for
its customers. On an annual basis, HESCO's members and other independent
clients consume millions of gallons of gasoline, diesel fuel, boiler
fuel, and natural gas. Over the years, this volume has been supplied
by local jobbers, larger dealers and, in some cases, major suppliers.
Now a one-source company can handle all these needs.
In addition to fuel, HEPSCO
supplies a variety of top-quality brand name lubricants from Kendall,
Exxon, Chevron and Coastal including motor and hydraulic oils,
gas and diesel additives, transmission fluids and greases. Several
Customers also take advantage of the used-oil analysis program,
whereby an engine oil sample is analyzed in order to determine
excessive engine wear. This valuable service helps to extend service
intervals and fuel economy.
HEPSCO has access to most major branded and private label tires and
batteries. Approximately 5,000 vehicles are in use throughout HEPSCO's
clients and their affiliates. Twenty-four-hour fleet service is available
as well as services such as tire recapping and forklift tire mounting,
and daily delivery battery service. To accommodate clients operating
electric forklift equipment, HEPSCO handles industrial batteries
and chargers and arranges for installation and repair services.
