CANKER DECONTAMINATION

Citrus canker is caused by a bacterial pathogen Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri. The disease causes necrotic lesions on leaves, stems and fruit. Severe infestation can cause defoliation, fruit drop, twig dieback, general tree decline, and blemishes on fruit.

HESCO is your local source for Canker Guard, an effective disinfectant for all grove, transportation and packinghouse personnel. It effectively kills Citrus Canker residue that might otherwise be harmful to the citrus grove. Canker Guard is safe for skin contact and spray, dip, or wipe-on application for clothing, shoes and towels when used as directed. After application there is no need to rinse and the diluted product will not stain clothing.

For equipment use, Canker Solv RC™ is a quat-based, EPA registered product diluted at 1:108 and used for low- and medium-volume applications. Very low corrosion and environmentally more friendly (which equates to having less effect on surrounding trees and vegetation than other quats). It is very good for use in pump-up hand sprayers.
