Dominick L. Scotto established Tuxedo Fruit Company in 1938 with offices in Fort Pierce, Florida. Sons, Arnold and Anthony, joined the business in 1946 after being discharged from the military. Arnold Scotto supervised the grove operations while Anthony Scotto supervised the packing and marketing operations of the business.
Currently the business is run by the third generation of Scottos, John and Joseph, who have been with the company since the mid-seventies. Tuxedo Fruit Company is still packing fresh citrus with supplies from throughout the State of Florida.
